Description:
I sought my soul, but my soul I could not see. I sought my God, but my God eluded me. I sought my brother and I found all three. That is exactly what Rakhi celebrations are about fostering brotherhood and strengthening the bond of love between brothers and sisters. This festival is not a custom or tradition that can change instead with passage of time, the styles of its celebration has become contemporary. All the rituals are followed with the same enthusiasm. The gaiety has only blown up to a larger scale. To commemorate this festival, a ‘Rakhi Making Activity’ was organized on 30th July by DPS Shaheedpath for the students of Pre- Primary Wing and Primary wing to acknowledge the creativity of the students and also to educate them about the significance of this festival. They created beautiful strings of love using different articles like silken thread, glitter sheets, ribbon, buttons, wool, beads etc in designing them . The Rakhi creation was rendered carefully and lovingly without the slightest trace of negligence. All the students participated with zeal and had a radiant smile after completing their masterpieces. The day witnessed a number of innovative and colourful Rakhi’s being made by the students.
