Games are an integral part of the holistic development which directs one to be competitive while keeping the spirit of honesty and camaraderie alive.
Keeping the same, an Inter House Football Competition was held On 27 and 28 July, 23 at Delhi Public School Shaheedpath. The kids from junior school i.e classes VI-VIII & senior school i.e. IX- XII had participated with great enthusiasm and fervour. Among the students of all the four houses, the senior school had their match on the 27th when the first match was played between Agni House and Prithvi House and the second match was between Vaayu and Neer House. Similarly on the 28th the four houses of the junior school played the match in which Agni House played against Vaayu House and Neer House played against Prithvi House.
Some amazing action was witnessed when each team tried to outshine the other on the field. The skill and sporting talent proved the excellent grooming of budding footballers of the school. In the final match that was played on the 28th, the determination and sportsmanship of the players brought them remarkable achievements. In the senior group the final match was played between Prithvi House and Neer House in which Neer House became the winner with score 2-1 (penalty shootout). In the junior section the final match was played between Agni House and Neer House in which Agni House became the achiever with score 1-0.
We want to extend our heartfelt congratulations to all the participants and our dedicated coaches for their constant support and zeal for the sport. Let us strive to continue to support and encourage our young athletes as they continue to shine on and off the field!
