February 2nd, marks World Wetlands Day, it is a global celebration aimed at raising awareness about the importance of wetlands and promoting their conservation. A wetlands excursion at GC Wetlands Shaheedpath, Lucknow developed by LDA. Thirty students of DPS Shaheedpath, along with their teachers went to GC Wetlands Lucknow and witnessed different migratory birds and studied about the conservation of biodiversity and preservation of birds and safety of our natural ecosystem.
The theme for World Wetlands Day 2025 is "Wetlands Action for People and Nature." This theme highlights the vital role wetlands play in supporting biodiversity, mitigating climate change, and providing essential ecosystem services.
GC Wetlands at Shaheed Path is a unique urban wetland that provides a habitat for a diverse range of plant and animal species. This wetland is not only a vital stop over for migratory birds but also supports a variety of fish, amphibians, and insects. #dpslko #dpsshaheedpath
